You know, my keys, important dates.......Yes! Important dates~ Today's post should be...The Anniversary! Todd and I were married Feb 24th! yay! It seems as if the older I get, the faster time passes. I have always heard that from my elders....now I truly believe it. Someone was asking me recently about my time in Hawaii and I was like oh yea, it was great....HOLY COW....that was 14 years ago!!!! HOLY CRAP!!!! The best part of this story is as I am filling out my licensure application, they want to know what I have been doing since high school. High School??? I called and asked if they wanted to know EVERYTHING???? She says, yep and if you leave any time gaps we'll return your app and ask you what you were doing. I laughed. She laughed. I graduated in 1987. She says....just do your best. LOL. I do the math in my head... 1987...thats 24 years ago. 24 years....its almost a lifetime. Its the time I went to high school and college and moved to Hawaii to figure out what to do with my life, then get my shit together... 24 years. WOW.
I guess we all go through this. In no way am I having a midlife crisis (I'm not old enough), but its really interesting to dig into the archeology that is my life. Going back and listing all those items over the last 24 years was very interesting and brought up alot of things I haven't thought about in years. My advice, try it sometime. We all thought high school was the prime of life, I say no, now is. I know I am entering the workplace at a later age, albeit entering for the second time. This second career of mine, its the right one and it took me long enough to get here.
And yes honey, I love you and will remember our anniversary :)

Notes in Random.
Its amazing how much you can get done when you make a list and have to look at it and think about it. Being motivated to make a list helped me to be motivated to do the list...YAY!
On another note, watching the news....what the heck is up with people in Ceres? One truck hits 5 girls yesterday-killing one and sent others to the hospital. And today?....2 kids get hit one thier way to school!!! HAYSOOS! What the hell? The sheriff in the news story says Ceres is #5 iin pedestrian injuries. Seems they have a habit of this happening. Its tragic. Hopefully people learn something from this.
Mom back from Samoa. She put her toes in the sand and said hello to the ocean for me. Very sweet of her. Which makes me think that I really need to be living near water. I think my husband is up for that too. We both seem to be water people.
As I am typing this, the great bug hunter is stalking the wild domestic mosquito across the ceiling. I've heard of prey drive but this is just plain funny. Its a good thing he has not decided to dive across my lap for the bug on the wall next to me. I swear his back legs are coiled springs. I watched him jump straight up in the air from standing and get a good 2 feet of clearance. Squirrel- the great motivator, who knew? Tired tired dogs tonight.

Suuuuuuper? bowl
Traditionally a game I really am ambivalent about and usually not a very good game. Today, given the history of the Pittsburg quarterback I felt compelled to root for Green Bay. That and they seem to be just a bunch of nice guys. Doesn't hurt that Aaron Rogers is from right here in Northern California. So I crushed cans during most of the first half, came in and watched the second half. Turned out to be a pretty good game, imagine that. Packers win! Now, football is done till next year.

Walking the Dogs
3 Dogs, 3 Leashes, 2 people. This really shouldn't be complicated but somehow it gets to be that way. I blame it all on Logan. Ducky and Fletcher walk nicely and straightly. Logan, ADD that he is, takes the length of the leash and goes from one side to the other to the full length. Back and Forth. Zig and Zag. Ok so he failed the collar walking, failed the pinch collar walking. He gets it, he learns it and promptly forgets everything. arrrrgh. Now in a harness, works better on him backwards....I don't know where to begin.....But! He almost pays attention now. Been working with him and he no longer pulls my shoulder out of socket. YAY. Can't be mad...he's just sooooo happy! Argh, the big dork. Did I mention I love his exhuberance?
